Electronic tagsGame
Place an electronic tag on a game character, follow them on the live map, set allowed or forbidden zones and receive the alerts.
The Electronic tags module follows a person under judicial supervision or house arrest. You place the tag from their citizen record, with a reason, an end date and, if you want, zones: the person shows on the live map of the service that follows them, and that service is warned as soon as they leave their zone, enter a forbidden zone or disappear.
It requires the game integration: the tag follows a game character, not a record typed by hand.
Turn it on
Section titled “Turn it on”- In Settings › Services, turn on the Electronic tags module in each service that places or follows tags (usually police and justice). It is not turned on by default.
- Check that the live map is on: it carries the positions.
- Give the permissions to the relevant ranks (see below).
On the game server side: Config.Bracelets.enabled in config.lua (on by default; 200
tracked characters at most). The bridge sends the position of tracked players, whether
on duty or not.
Place a tag
Section titled “Place a tag”- Open the record of a citizen from the game (Game badge), Tag tab.
- Click Place a tag.
- Fill in the window:
- Reason: required, 3 to 300 characters (“judicial supervision, house arrest…”);
- Related decision (optional): an offense file or a court case of this citizen;
- Following service: its authorized members see the person on the map and receive the alerts;
- End date: 10 minutes to 180 days; shortcuts 1 day, 7 days, 30 days;
- Zones (optional): see below;
- Alert if they disconnect for long (optional): a delay of 5 to 240 minutes.
- Click Place the tag.
citizen-braceletA citizen has only one active tag at a time. If they already wear one followed by a service you cannot see, the tab says so without showing anything more.
Zones are taken from the patrol sectors of the following service. For each sector, choose a rule (8 zones at most):
- Allowed: the person must stay inside. Leaving triggers an alert.
- Forbidden: they must not enter. Entering triggers an alert.
Without zones, the person is only followed on the map.
Outlines are copied when the tag is placed: editing a sector afterwards does not change the decision already made. If the service has no sector, draw them first in Settings › Operations.
Follow a tag
Section titled “Follow a tag”On the live map
Section titled “On the live map”The person shows on the live map with a diamond marker, separate from officers, with their name. During an alert, the marker turns red. A click opens the tag.
live-map-braceletOnly members with Electronic tags › View tags in the following service see them. Other services, even with the map, see nothing.
Alerts
Section titled “Alerts”| Alert | When |
|---|---|
| Out of their zone | the person leaves an allowed zone |
| In a forbidden zone | they enter a forbidden zone |
| No signal | their player has been disconnected for the delay chosen at placement |
- Zones are checked on every position received; only a change is reported (leaving, entering, back within the rules).
- The alert reaches the notification bell of on-duty members of the following service who have View tags.
- No bursts: the same alert of a tag at most every 10 minutes, and no new alert while the current breach has not ended.
The tag list
Section titled “The tag list”The Electronic tags module lists the active tags of the services you can see, current alerts first. The list is bounded: Show more loads the rest, and the number shown is displayed (“12 tags shown out of 30”).
bracelets-listEach card shows the state (Active, or the current alert in red), the following service, the end date, the person (link to their record), the reason, the related decision and the zones. Its Tag log button opens the tag’s page:
- Followed by, Placed by, Since, End, “No signal” alert and, if there is one, the Current alert with its time;
- Remove the tag (see below);
- the Tag log: placement, alerts, returns within the rules, removal or end (the latest 50 events);
- Export: the tag as a PDF or an image (see PDF and image export); Back to tags returns to the list.
bracelets-recordRemove a tag
Section titled “Remove a tag”- In the Tag tab of the record (or on the tag), click Remove the tag.
- Type the Removal reason (“end of the measure, judge’s decision…”).
- Hold the Remove button, which shows as soon as the reason has 3 characters (releasing cancels; Cancel closes without removing anything).
On the end date, the tag ends by itself (“Reached its end date”). Past tags stay visible under Previous tags on the record.
Placement and removal are also written to the audit log.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”| Permission | What it allows | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Electronic tags › View tags | The list, the log, the position on the live map and the alerts | every rank |
| Electronic tags › Place a tag | Reason, decision, end date and zones | supervisors and up |
